In the current game players who did not play a game in the playoffs but are on the roster when your team wins a Stanley cup do not get credited with a Stanley cup win on their player profile this includes scratched players and backup goalies. I find myself always having to edit my lines during playoffs so i can get a 74 overall Connor McDavid credit for a Stanley cup win. hopefully in the next game we can change this so players on the roster at the time of winning the Stanley cup get their credit in their player profiles.
There are requirements that have to be met in order to be “credited”[1] a Stanley Cup;
Played atleast 41 regular-season games OR dress in atleast one game of Stanley Cup Finals
Normally though, backup goalies should be credited, so that’s most likely a bug.
As for roster status stuff, I’m not sure how that will work in the game, since from what I’ve read, they have to meet the second requirement
