Currently it seems that players are only allowed to waive their no-movement clause (NMC) and no-trade clause (NTC) in the last year of their contract. Build in the option to pressure them to waive it sooner. Also, have players occasionally make trade demands, and perhaps other types of demands too (e.g., more playing time, PP or PK time, play with other players like a playmaker, TWF, PWF, enforcer)

I pitched this in the feature request as well. If they implemented a Morale/Loyalty system, you could have negative effects on morale for pushing a guy to waive his NMC/NTC early so it isn’t doesn’t go unpenalized.
